The Corporate Governance Recommendations for listed companies on the Barbados Stock Exchange are effective starting January 1, 2014

In 2013, the Barbados Stock Exchange released its Corporate Governance Recommendations for Listed Companies. The goals of the Recommendations are to:

• harmonise the practices of listed companies;
• improve transparency of their operations;
• provide a basis of consistency for information provided to Shareholders;
• improve the quality of disclosure; and
• reinforce appropriate accountabilities.
