Welcome to Module One of the Certificate in Corporate Governance. This course provides a foundation about the key areas of corporate governance and the roles played  by directors, executive managers and shareholders.

The learning objectives are to:

  • Explain company information (financial and non-financial) that should be disclosed
  • Determine good practices to deal with insider trading and related-party transactions
  • Identify shareholder rights established by law or mutual agreements
  • Describe how minority shareowner rights are protected
  • Identify key stakeholders and recognize their importance
