About our Keynote Speaker


The Managing Director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange, Mrs Marlene Street Forrest will be delivering the opening keynote for the Caribbean Corporate Governance Conference hosted by the CCGI on June 29th 2020 at the Hyatt Regency in Trinidad and Tobago.

The conference forms a significant part of the CCGI’s inaugural Governance Week 2020 which will  comprise of the two-day conference as well as modules, masterclasses and workshops from June 28 to July 4th, 2020. Mrs. Marlene Street Forrest is heralded for her leadership with the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) which she led to global excellence over the last few years. The JSE was voted best performing stock exchange in the world for two consecutive years, and last November, Mrs Street Forrest was flying the Jamaican flag high at the top of the Nasdaq building in commemoration of her great work.

She will be spending the week in Trinidad and Tobago when she will be addressing the theme of the conference – Governance in an Age of Disruption. She will be joined by a number of distinguished speakers from Barbados, Guyana, Curacao, the US, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago. Persons include the CEO for the Barbados Stock Exchange, Mr Marlon Yarde, Corporate Governance expert Professor Frank Kunneman, SBTNO director Mr Donald de Palm and senior advisor to McKinsey Mr James McPhedran. Local speakers include the CEO for the TT Stock Exchange Mrs Amoy Van Lowe as well as former Central Bank deputy Chair Dr Terrence Farrel, retired Permanent Secretary Mrs Arlene McComie, executive chairman of CLICO Mrs Claire Gomez Miller and consultant and former government minister Mr Mariano Browne.
